AGAPAI Technologies Corp. (AGAP.AI) has been named one of the 15 national finalists for the Presidential Filipinnovation Awards 2025, following its recognition as the National Capital Region (NCR) Cluster winner in the sub-national rounds.
Led by the National Innovation Council (NIC), the Filipinnovation Awards is the country’s premier innovation competition spotlighting Filipino-owned, early-stage commercialization-ready solutions in Food & Agribusiness, Learning & Education, and Health & Well-being.v
From NCR Cluster Winner to National Stage
Announced on Monday, November 3, 2025, the NIC revealed the 15 finalists selected from 181 entries nationwide—composed of 12 sub-national winners plus three wildcard finalists chosen for breakthrough potential.
AGAP.AI was listed under the National Capital Region finalists with its innovation described as “Developmental Milestone Monitoring Redefined through AI.”
As part of the national finals, all finalists joined a two-day mentoring and coaching workshop (November 3–4) focused on business modeling, innovation validation, and presentation skills, before pitching to a national panel of expert judges on Wednesday, November 5.
Judging criteria included sustainability and scalability, marketability, potential impact and relevance, and overall innovativeness.
Results: Proud National Finalist, Strong NCR Performance
On Thursday, November 6, 2025, five finalists were named Filipinnovator Awardees of the Year. While AGAP.AI was not among the five national awardees, the team marks this milestone as a powerful validation of its mission—and a major step forward after leading the NCR Cluster.
The five awardees are set to receive a cash grant plus a ₱3.5-million post-competition support package, including mentoring and coaching, participation in international events, and opportunities to connect with potential investors. The awards platform also indicates that the other ten finalists receive a cash prize to help further develop their innovations.
What This Means for AGAP.AI
AGAP.AI’s recognition at the national level reinforces a growing urgency: ensuring that families and caregivers have better tools to understand children’s development early and act with confidence.
This national finalist distinction also places AGAP.AI among the country’s most promising innovations for 2025—supported by a government-wide push to strengthen Filipino innovation and early commercialization pathways, aligned with the Philippine Innovation Act (RA 11293).
“This initiative underscores our dedication to supporting Filipino innovators who are developing impactful solutions to the country’s most pressing challenges,” said Arsenio Balisacan, Secretary of the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev), which serves as the NIC Secretariat, during the opening ceremony.
